As I stand at the bottom of my 2018 "hill", I feel like I'm in a delightfully dizzy heap! And although I'm not anxious to race to the top of the hill and do it again, I do have a huge grin on my face (even giggling a little :) ), and I wouldn't change a thing!
We were not looking to move, but in the fall of last year (2017) we saw a home and property that we couldn't get out of our minds. So in January we put an offer on it and on March 31, 2018 we were able to move in to our new home on the East bench of Willard, Ut.
Thus began the ROLL! I'm not sure we really knew what we were getting in to but it's been a crazy fun ride!
In our home, we tore out most of the flooring on the main level, painted, re-floored, put up new baseboards and trim, made a mantle and rocked a fireplace. (None of that would have happened without the countless hours that friends and family put in to help us!) In the midst of all that, my husband moved to an executive position in his company so he now commutes to SLC (about 45 miles away).
One of the first rooms to be organized was my quilting room. I love it! I was able to quilt over 65 quilts this year, (many of those were before we moved!) which was a blessing. I am so grateful for everyone's patience with me as I haven't been quite as fast at finishing them as I would have like to with all of our craziness. I have stacks waiting for me for the new year and I can't wait to get to them! |
I've also neglected all of my Front Porch friends and I'm anxious to get back to visiting! I promise more posts and pictures of all the quilts I've finished but not shared for you to see! By the time I'm caught up you'll probably be sick of me. 2018 has been a wild ride but I'm looking forward to what 2019 will bring! Hopefully I won't be so dizzy at the end! |
